Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a certified primary school teacher qualified to teach grades 4-6 in Swedish/SVA, English, Mathematics, Science, and Art. This year, the position is focused on grade 4, teaching Science and Art. Other teaching time is allocated for resource time directed towards Swedish and Mathematics in grade 4. Mentorship is included. At Monbijouskolan, we work in grade-based teams where primary school teachers, teachers in after-school care, school librarians, and student health teams collaborate for each student's learning and safety.

In your role with us, you will create and develop a stimulating educational environment and, together with your colleagues, drive the pedagogical work forward. We offer close leadership from the principal, collegial collaboration in teams, a clear structure for meetings, planning, and development work, as well as active support from the student health team in daily operations. There is a culture of keeping the student’s learning and safety in focus through responsibility, participation, collaboration, and flexibility in daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching certification qualified to teach Swedish/SVA, English, Mathematics, Science, and Art for grades 4-6. Good experience in language and knowledge-developing teaching, interdisciplinary approaches, and familiarity with digital work methods are advantageous for this position. It is also important that you are interested in developing teaching through collegial learning at the school. Our common focus at the school is to increase students' reading skills and strengthen values work with a focus on equality and good relationships among students.

You can organize your work, are confident and solution-focused, and contribute to creating a good working atmosphere with your colleagues. You have a good understanding and knowledge of the school’s governing documents and know how to effectively apply these in daily work. Your teaching is modern and creative, based on evidence-based research, and you effectively work with relevant digital tools. It is important to us that you are good at building positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

About the Workplace

Monbijouskolan is a two-parallel F-6 school with 360 motivated and curious students. Most students are enrolled in our after-school care, which is organized by grade for F-3 and stage-wise for grades 4-6. Monbijouskolan is the big little school in the heart of Malmö. Our student body reflects the diversity of Malmö, enriching and shaping our activities.
